Youth Music’s Incubator Fund offering grants of £5,000 - £30,000 to forward-thinking music industry employers to open up sustainable music careers for 18-25yr olds.
This round of the Fund closes on Friday 5th February and there are still grants up for grabs for businesses, collectives and not-for-profits working in the music industries, nationwide.
Although many organisations have weathered the initial storm, despite the ongoing crisis in the live sector, findings from Youth Music’s recent report, How COVID-19 has affected youth music-making, show that most have “significant concerns about the funding landscape as we emerge from Covid.”
This funding can provide much needed relief as it can be spent on wages and support, while also providing a tangible way for small, independent organisations to be part of a more equitable, diverse and inclusive music industry moving forward.
It’s still really relevant given that the situation for young people looking to make it in the music industry is even more challenging than it was pre-Covid – which is impacting the future talent pipeline – and music organisations are still in desperate need of support and money to see them through, and ultimately, to help the sector rebuild the infrastructure that will enable them to thrive post-Covid.
