Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

Teo – ‘History’

Despite only making the first steps of his career with his debut single, the Filipino born singer and producer Teo already has the sound of a far more experienced artist. With his first release ‘History’, lifted from his forthcoming debut EP, the artist channels the bold and vibrant pop aesthetic of Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd on this smooth and sultry RnB-inspired groove.

July Jones – ‘Liar Liar’

With her previous single ‘Solo’ continuing to light up the streaming charts, London-based singer July Jones returns with her latest vibrant electro-pop stunner ‘Liar Liar’. As a fierce champion of the LBQTQ+ community with a rebellious streak, the artist brings the same pounding and thunderous production as Charli XCX to her latest release, offering up one hell of a chant-along anthem in the process.

Broken Back – ‘One By One’ (Alle Farben Remix)

With a combined streaming power of more than 500million, Broken Back and Alle Farben are hardly lightweights when it comes to creating strong and engaging club bangers, and now the pair are teaming up on a remix of ‘One By One’. Blending Broken Back’s upbeat and quirky energy with Farben’s Berlin club-inspired production, this new rework delivers an almost tropical-sounding vibe, leading to images of sunset parties and sandy-beached settings.

Islandis – ‘Slow It Down’

Following on from their debut single ‘Home’, which has already managed to gather more than 6million streams since its release, Australian indie-pop duo Islandis are now looking to replicate the same response to their latest euphoric cut ‘Slow It Down’. Taking cues from the ever-popular 80s synthwave sound, this new single sees them in rejuvenated spirits as it blends dreamy guitars and infectious melodies into one blissful slice of euphoric pop-rock.

Jank Setup – ‘Can’t I?’

Having already built up a strong name for themselves across the southern United States, New Orleans funk and soul Jank Setup are now ready to take the world by storm as they deliver their latest hip-shaking jam ‘Can’t I?’. With a fresh and vibrant sound that also pays homage to legends like The Temptations and Earth, Wind & Fire, this new offering sees the band deliver a party-starting stomper that will get even the most curmudgenous individual tapping their feet.
