Every week, Music News and Liberty Music look at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

Mary Miller - I Found Heaven

Liverpool based songwriter and producer Mary Miller walks the line of retro and contemporary with aplomb. Mixing old school samples and retro guitar tones with modern styles of hip hop and electronica she ties everything in with her gripping and emotive voice. Latest offering I Found Heaven starts in a down tempo Banks-esque soundscape that builds towards a cinematic and heavy combination of grandiose samples atop distorted bass that will easily get feet tapping and heads nodding.

Max Valentine - FAME

North London rapper and singer Max Valentine has been making wave after wave with his take on modern R&B and hip hop. Gaining support from some of the biggest names in the industry with comparisons to artists like Drake, Valentine returns with FAME. The track’s hook takes inspiration from J-Lo’s If You Had My Love, and coupled with the crisp production Valentine has his sights on international appeal while retaining his London tones.

Two Can - Got Habits

Australian brothers Oscar and Miles are perfectly in sync as duo Two Can. Earning over ten millions streams so far online, the pair aren’t slowing down with latest single Got Habits. A triumph of future bass, a style championed by the likes of Flume - this summer jam takes its structure and songwriting from pop and pushes into a more genre defying electronic direction.

NBLM - Here With You ft. Lloyd Macey

New Black Light Machine or initialised as NBLM draw from a wide pool of influence, taking the best parts of House, Techno, RnB, Pop and even Rock, they appeal to the masses with finesse, casually racking up over 100 millions hits on YouTube alone. Latest track Here With You takes an infectiously groovy route through future house, linking with X Factor star Lloyd Macey for a synergy reminiscent of Disclosure’s Latch.

DEVMO - Hollywood

Santa Monica based rap artist DEVMO has no trouble in not fitting into any stereotype, and this hard to define style culminates in a fluid and precise flow that easily surpasses charting artists of a similar ilk. Hollywood is the perfect showcase of her talent - the simple trap influenced production allows for copious space for her to display the wide breadth of her talent, all executed in her distinctive tones.
