Potter Payper returns with first single of the year 'Trench P (London City)' + tour tickets
05 January 2024
POTTER PAYPER is back. Setting his intentions for 2024, he marks his return today with his first offering of the year, brand new single and video ‘Trench P (London City)’. It’s accompanied by a striking visual, directed by Brick By Brick, which follows Potter’s ventures through the city.
In his typical unflinching style, ‘Trench P (London City)’ is a straight-talking reflection of the environment Potter was raised in and proof that 2024 is set to be yet another monumental year. It’s his strikingly relatable lyricism paired with nostalgic-yet-innovative production that has earned Potter a stamp of approval across the country and beyond.
The new single is his first release since his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Real Back In Style’ released last year. The record was a defining moment for every Potter Payper fan, everywhere. Debuting at #2 in the UK Official Album Chart and making history as the Highest Charting British Rap album without a feature, the record was his boldest and most considered body of work yet. Described as the street’s storyteller, the album showcased Potter’s widely-lauded lyrical dexterity and stark accounts of street politics, rapping with such purpose and conviction that would stop anyone dead in their tracks.
Next month, Potter will take to the stage for his forthcoming ‘Filthy Free’ UK and European tour - including a sold-out date at London’s Roundhouse - performing the album for the very first time.
