“Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters”, written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin, is an outtake from 2011’s homage to 70’s male singer songwriters Boys Don’t Cry. Recorded during a ‘no expense spared’, high budget session at RAK studio 1 with London’s finest musicians, Rumer commented: “It was at the end of the sessions and I was tired, I knew it was good, but I was just done for the day, I just couldn’t get it over the finish line.” More than 10 years later, she has dug out those files and it is one of the highlights of the new compilation.
Rumer is performing at Latitude Festival, Wickham Festival and The Long Road Festival, alongside her own headline tour dates for 2022.
