Time To Run is the amazing debut EP from L.A’s Lord Huron. They are the innovators of a style known as dream pop that provokes a deep feeling of elation.

Time To Run is the first song on the EP, it is a song that invites you into the dreams of front man Ben Schneider. With soft but powerful vocals and floaty melodies the whole song has an ambient sound that is both upbeat and emotional.

Each song has a personal feel, all with ups and downs that form crescendo's like no other band. There is so much under the skin of the EP such as light percussion and experimental guitar parts, all working together to make a culturally unique sound, a sound that enables the band to play with the emotions of any listener.

It is hard not to fall into the dream land offered by the music, as every song is thought provoking with an untouchable depth to the lyrics.“ I ain’t never gonna die and I want you to come” Schneider has a beautiful way with words.

'I want to be the man who lives for ever' has to be the best song on the EP. It is so packed with emotion that it is explosive. Different layers of the song come together providing something for everyone, there really is world of music inside Lord Huron.

Rolling drums and soothing guitar melodies provide a stable platform for the lyrics to work on, and they fit together in a way that is identifiable only to Lord Huron. Each and every musician is extremely talented and has a style that suits the band. These styles have moulded together over constant camp fire jams and “all those nights”.

'Lonesome Dreams' is the full length album set to follow in 2013, and with an EP that is this good an album could not come quick enough!
