Sunday Morning Service took to the Cargo London stage with typical aplomb this Saturday (16/04/2011), delivering a fantastic showcase of songs both new and old to an adoring crowd on what was the single release launch night for their track "Heavy Handed".
Cool, edgy and unpredictable are three words that perfectly describe the experience of a Sunday Morning Service gig - heartfelt songs with meaning and passion and hooks that embed themselves in the mind without permission are typical of an encounter with SMS.
The band, comprising of Dom Reilly, Nick Tate, Louis Skinner and Craig Beedham, have formed an experienced and gifted outfit in what has only been a period of around 5 months since the addition of lead guitarist Skinner.
Tate's husky vocal puts the steel in front of melodic anthems that will have you gripped and brainwashed by the closing notes; single launch track Heavy Handed falls perfectly in line with this - a fantastic storyline complimented with a great hook. You have no choice but to become a fan once you have sampled an SMS tale.
