As Clor took to the stage their was a tangible sense of anticipation in the air. The majestic intro heralded 'Good Stuff', first track on the tremendous self-titled debut, and with an electronic beat that typifies Clor songs heads visibly bobbed in time. Barry Dobbin (vocals/guitar) was beset with early guitar problems and the sound engineer must have been on a coffee break, but Barry brushed these irritations aside wearing the huge smile that seemed ingrained on his face like rubber mask.

Melodic riffs intertwined with catchy lyrics to provide electronica for the idie kids to enjoy. This six-piece from Brixton have stumbled onto a slightly different kind of amalgam. Yes at times we could hear Kraftwerk, New Order, Human League and even the B-52s but never arranged quite as so beautifully haphazard as this.

If you do not have this album buy it now, it's a little gem.
