Shirock

It is four years since Shirock released their album Everything Burns in the United States, but the UK is only just getting introduced to the sound of Chuck Shirock and his wife Pap. The pair have a mainly AOR feel - but this single is a touch lighter than some of the heavier tracks on the album.

Apparently the pair wrote I'll Take Rain after watching the excellent Jim Carey and Kate Winslet film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The song takes a look at relationships in that context, with the claim that even a damp and wet Sunday is fine to cope with - as long as you don't leave me!

There a multitude of bands that have success in the States, that don;t always cross the big pond to match that recognition in the UK, but I'll Take Rain might help Shirock bridge that divide.
