Driven by the kind of tribal disco groove that has seen Bristol become the UK’s second city of bass, The Other Tribe have stormed the likes of Bestival, Love Saves The Day and Secret Garden Party, via sold out shows at Koko and Hoxton Bar & Kitchen.
The band has just launched the first in a four-part series of live sessions from the infamous barn that they call home (and their studio) deep in the Bristol countryside. The first live session features the recent free download, ‘We Should Be Dancing’. Each Wednesday will see the release of a new session featuring past and forthcoming new material.
Signed to Sony/Relentless, The Other Tribe’s 2012 festival season saw their fanbase explode, and following collaborations with Eats Everything and Kidnap Kid, an unexpected Top 40 hit with the radio anthem, ‘Skirts’ then brought the Bristol 5-piece to nationwide attention.
The Other Tribe have been bunkered down at the barn through the winter months distilling their sound and producing the tracks that will make up their debut album due out later this year. In advance of new single, 'Lucid Dreams' they gave away new track, ‘We Should Be Dancing’, as a free download
here. The Other Tribe kicked off their forthcoming UK tour last night in London, April 18th at XOYO, (just down the road from their sold out Hoxton show last year), and play a string of dates in Brighton, Manchester, Helston in Cornwall, Canterbury, Coventry and beyond, before launching full-swing into the summer festival season covering an incredible 28 festivals.
