This barking quintet follow up their top forty selling singles with the release of their debut album Turn Against This Land. What this band is not about is making tunes for the light hearted. They make quite some noise and it's loud and energetic.

Musically Dogs are compared to The Libertines, Razorlight and there's perhaps even a bit of The Jam in there. Frontman Johnny Cooke, sounding at times like Johnny Rotten, yells out angry lines like 'I liked you when you liked me as well,' with force and their chaotic guitars deserve your attention. As for which tracks to listen out for, you should give London Bridge, Selfish Ways and the speedtastic Tuned To a Different Station a try.

While there aren't many songs that grab you straight away this lot have the energy that makes up for it, and given time the songs may just grow on you.
