As a vocalist you can't fault her and although her new album has been sometime in the making, it's sure been time well spent.
We very much welcome the writing talents of Scottish star Emeli Sande's as it must be said, 'Trouble' is by far the best track on the album.
Produced by Fraser T Smith, who has worked with Adele and Nelly Furtado, his genius has given the album a personal touch, though to me, the album is clearly not a reflection of Leona but that of having purely created to sell records.
From the Leona we first new on X Factor, her latest efforts have seen a change in direction with the album feel easily describable as being powerful yet dark.
This latest offering brings a welcome return to her signature sound; Leona assures us that "“Musically, it hasn't gone in to a completely new direction.
“It's still a classic 'me' album with some big Whitney-esque and Mariah-esque songs, that I love."
Tracks likes 'Un Love Me' is good enough to make it as a single release, whilst Glassheart is a slow ballad which could be re-mixed as a club anthem.
Other songs like track 7: 'Shake You Up' bring her more up to date, 'Stop The Clocks' is alittle weak, though 'Glassheart' shows of Leona's amazing ability.
Devote Leona fans will be very pleased with the results of Glassheart.
