The Cribs

The Cribs release ‘Mirror Kisses' through Wichita. The follow-up to their recent Top 30 ‘Hey Scenesters!' they capture the spirit embodied in the Manic Street Preachers ‘Generation Terrorists' back in 1992. Fresh and crisp production ensures that their live approach to recording shines through with screeching guitars and a pulsating bouncy bass driving the proceedings to the rhythm of invigorating drums and terrace chants.

The B side sees the band take on fellow Yorkshire men Kaiser Chiefs 'Modern Way' in an Idlewildesque vein almost topping the A side.

If I had a crystal ball I reckon I'd see The Cribs staring back out at me quite happy with what the future holds.
