A Night of Imagination hosted by Sony took place in London last week and what a fantastic job they did in hosting Labrinth's album launch in conjunction with the promotion of their new Sony Xperia smartphone.

The great choice of venue provided the perfect scenery for what was to be a night to remember with everything from the lighting to the production being spot on. After all, it is Sony and you do expect a certain level of wow when it comes to one of their events but I wasn't sure how well the night would come together. With Sony promoting their smart phone and Labrinth showcasing his new album it seemed like it could all become a bit disorganised....

I couldn't have been more wrong as the collision of music and imaginative technology fused together perfectly, and the atmosphere in the room could only be described as electric. Performing to a full house of reviewers, bloggers, artists and competition winners, Labrinth's time on stage was hotly anticipated.

With his new album Electronic Earth out now, many have posed the question, who is Labrinth? Is he a producer? Is he a singer? The answer doesn't really matter, as his abundance of talent means there are no limitations to what he can acheive and create.

After performing tracks 'Let the Sun Shine' and 'Express Yourself' , he left the stage for America's Got Talent finalists Illuminate. They performed in specially made LED costumes and debuted a routine they put together just for the event. A highlight came when Labrinth came back to the stage to perform his latest track 'Last Time' wearing an illuminated jacket which flashed different colours.

To top of a mind blowing set, Labrinth pulled a rockstar move and smashed his guitar on the floor cementing his place as a real showman! With everyone reeling from his sensatiobal set, Sony arranged for flashing LED gloves to be handed out to everyone in the audience which meant everyone could leave with something fun to remember a magical night!

One thing's for sure...Labrinth's new album is an absolute MUST!
