Preston’s back with The Ordinary Boys, for the moment, headlining the Islington Academy and seemingly having the time of his life.

It’s been a long journey for the boy from Worthing who was at the forefront of the scar/mod revival with his Britpop outfit.

He then famously joined the 2006 Celebrity Big Brother guests where his on / off relationship with Essex babe Chantelle began.

A band split and solo career rollercoaster followed seeing the frontman break both arms in a cycling accident, leaving him unable to promote his single and ultimately leading to the album being shelved.

Preston then concentrated on songwriting and co-wrote the Olly Murs number one track "Heart Skips a Beat".

Music-News.com caught up with the charismatic boy-next-door and talked about his love of The Smiths, hardcore, Big Brother and of course Chantelle.
