Slow Moving Millie interview

'Slow Moving Millie' is Amelia Warner (born 4 June 1982) an English actress and songwriter, now signed to Island Records.

Currently on the crest of a wave with her cover version of The Smiths 1984 B-Side "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" having been selected as the soundtrack to the John Lewis 2011 Christmas ad campaign.

Amelia was also married to Colin Farrell from July to November 2001 although her music career began in July 2009 when she wrote and performed the song "Beasts" for for a Virgin Media tv ad. Her second single, "Rewind City" was also used in another ad for Orange UK.

Music-News.com caught up with the delightfully stunning Amelia at Island headquarters on the day she released her debut album, ‘Renditions’ made-up of 80s cover versions, to find out more about her folky stripped back style and where we could expect it to take her.
