Avenged Sevenfold

It’s been a mixed time of late for Avenged Sevenfold. A highly successful album in Nightmare, both critically and commercially. But that’s tempered with the loss of their best friend and drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan.

So Far Away isn’t the best song on the album and isn’t up there with Nothing Else Matters, which it superficially resembles. However, that doesn’t matter what does is that Avenged Sevenfold has captured the deep affection and respect they hold for their friend in this song. The raw emotion and heartache is palpable throughout and it is a fitting tribute.
