Two Spot Gobi

Two Spot Gobi are a pop band from Brighton, UK that could be one to watch in 2011. Having already attracted the attention of Jason Mraz resulting in both worldwide support slots for Mr Mraz plus two months spent at his studio in San Diego. There has also been support slots for Bruno Mars, Newton Faulkner (remember him!!) and Michael Buble so there is a lot of love for Two Spot Gobi.

New single ‘Guiding Star’ is not a Cast cover although there are some similarities, along with James and Coldplay. The track is a strong pop single with a beautiful cello riff and strong synths to create a building track with fantastic chorus.
The band have a certain bright cheery outlook musically, a bit like The Delays (from Southampton – must be a South Coast thing) and certainly have the potential for bigger things. Their second album ‘the Sun Will Rise’ is out in May.
