Winnebago Deal rock. Ever since the two Ben’s first blasted my face off in the wee hours of a particularly drunken night some moons ago, I have loved this band. Sickeningly loud for a two piece and righteously ferocious, these guys do not fuck around. Kicking off with the furious 2 minute face fuck that is ‘Heart Attack In My Head’ New album Career Suicide sets it’s stall out and promptly blows it all to hell. 13 more songs follow on; each as short if not shorter and each one a memorable rock n roll monster. Which is a bloody novelty these days. Stand out tracks? ‘Nobody’s Fault But Mine’ has one hell of angry punk rock chorus and ‘Frostbiter’ is jawdroppingly brilliant.
Leave AC/DC rip off masters Airbourne to the mass plebs. Winnebago Deal are the real deal. Simple, stripped down rock n roll without sounding exactly like their forebearers. Rock on Winnebago Deal, rock on.
