The debut single from Australian dance three piece Art vs Science is crammed full of brilliant remixes that serve only to improve upon the already massive club track ‘Parlez Vous Francais’. The raw opening riff is perfectly combined with stonking beats and a magnificently snotty lead vocal to create a punk dance hybrid that has been sending clubbers wild for a while now.
Remixes come courtesy of Washington DC DJ duo Nadastrom whose banging mix has been rinsed all summer long by Fatboy Slim. Lee Mortimer steps up once again to produce a brain meltingly brilliant version swathed in mental bass and swirly bleeps. The Decibel reworking takes the tune right back to the old skool with rave synths aplenty while Disco of Doom creates an atmospheric acid house mix which rumbles along lethargically with excellent results.
This is definitely a tune of the year and the EP also includes a track called ‘Flipper’ which comes off like the lead singles even snottier and rockier little brother. Art vs Science live shows are also becoming something of a talking point with their insistence on super loud tunes of unrelenting fun made for massive speakers and even bigger stages. Definitely ones to watch.
