The album opener, a funky soul track with Level 42 undertones isn’t perhaps the most original of tunes, or indeed catchy. There is no “but…”. It’s not so Easy is a pretty dull funk/soul album without enough diversity: All songs sound pretty much the same. To merit it the production and song writing is really good, it’s just 20-30 years after its time.
