Foxy Shazam

Ok, so I’m adding to the hype over Foxy Shazam but their debut single is a real blast of killer-pop.

They have resonances of all sorts of other bands – Dexy’s and Sparks come to mind as well, bizarrely, as Pavlov’s Dog – and the sound s full of powerful drums and highly-pitched vocals and they set up a veritable buzz-saw of guitars and horns.

The whole thing is as infectious as herpesand you find yourself skipping a little more lightly as it blasts out of the iPod.

The album is going to be a blast!
