Dansette Junior

Those of a certain age and musical taste fear the worst when they see the word Paranoid on a single cover. Is someone really dumb enough to cover that song?!

Dansette Junior may never have heard the one true Paranoid, but this dance/trance number isn’t bad at all. While they pretty much stick to the rules of the genre, there’s a few tweaks and twists that set it apart from the others. There’s also a denseness and eeriness to the sound that’s little disconcerting, though that comes more to the fore in the instrumental version. The lazy vocal adds very little for the song. There are two remixes that are interesting but hardly essential listening.
