Leeds’ Middleman have racked up an impressive 200 live gigs, and that experience is obvious in the performance on this new single.

It’s a slightly deceptive song as Its Not Over Yet opens with a flurry of lightweight guitars and vocals that land it firmly in pop-rock territory. It’s after the intro that it gets interesting with the main rap kicking in, and the song takes a harder, darker tone. The accented rap may grate, and it may not be quite as gritty as it could be, but those are minor gripes. This is a bouncy, catchy single and well worth a listen, or two.
