They say one swallow doesn’t make a summer; I guess in the same way one song doesn’t make summer, however get 60 R&B tracks with a summer vibe and you are well on your way to a perfect summers day. These chilled out laid back tracks are perfect for a sultry summers day – just add sun.
The tracks range from the modern sounds of Alicia Keys, Jason Derulo and JLS through to all time classics from Isley Brothers, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye and Earth, Wind & Fire. CD3 does tail off a bit on the talent front but picks up strongly on the last 4 or 5 tracks. Elsewhere CD1 and 2 are brimming with talent – favourite for me has to Mtume with Juicy Fruit – has been a fair few years since I last heard this gem – summer bliss.
Great set of R&B tracks – just need the weather to pick up again now!!
