!!! (Chk Chk Chk)

AM/FM is the opening track for their upcoming new album 'Nice Weather, isn't it?', due out on the 23rd of August and if this track is anything to go by then we're in for something very special indeed!

If you are new to '!!!' (chkchkchk) they are an old skool six piece dance punk collective from california.
The name '!!!' is pronounced as any sound repeated three times. Common interpretations are chk chk chk,
pow pow pow, uh uh uh: the possibilities are endless.

'!!!' have been consistently kicking out cult classics for the last decade or more and subsequently
seem to be mere inches from perfection. AM/FM has it all - big beats, phat and funky bass lines and
psychedelic guitar all dubbed with a mix of trance vocals and a 80's hip hop chorus.
In short this track is cool. The word may have been overused and become somewhat of a cliche in recent times
but this track reminds us what cool is. The elements of 70s funk mix superbly into the dark breakdown and
I would recommend this band to anyone that likes psytrance, trip hop, old skool funk or even the
likes of the stone roses.

AM/FM is a triumphant blend of sound that screams defiance for you not to tap you feet.
An instant hit on the first listening yet still insisting on being a grower, this song is a rare find and
promises great things for the upcoming album!
