Miley Cyrus's continued metamorphosis continues here, although her transformation is nearing completion.

Last years "Party in the U.S.A." gave a good indication of where Miley was heading, and now her new album continues this path. Whereas previously on 'Breakout' Miley went for the rock chick, this time she has gone more dance pop, complete with voice enhanced vocals, big production pop-dance tracks and still a leaning to her past with a schmaltzy ballad.

The album is very current with Ke$ha, GaGa and Aguilera appearing to be key reference points on here. Opener 'Liberty Walk' appears to have single written all over and it almost surprising it wasn't the first single; perhaps Miley had a statement to make with 'Can't Be Tamed'.

'Two More Lonely People' has an almost Starship - Nothings Going to Stop Us Now' to it!!, whilst Permanent December is very current and could have come from the Ke$ha album.

Miley does throw in a few ballads, 'Forgiveness and Love' is the schmaltzy one that is more Hannah Montana than Miley Cyrus. 'Take Me Along' and 'Stay' are much better ballads, with a maturer sound. In between these two tracks you get a re-visit to Breakout with 'Scars' - a full on rock-pop anthem.

'Robot' is almost Euro-pop in terms of its beat, although the vocals are very US of A.

Special mention to Miley's decision to throw in a Poison cover - 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn' is a well executed cover version, not straying too far from the original, but Miley's vocals making the noticeable difference to this track.

This is actually a very good pop album, showing Miley Cyrus is likely to be around for a while yet, as long as she doesn't do a Britney burn-out as the pressures of teenage fame take effect.
