Less than 3 weeks until the World Cup and the obligatory albums start appearing. 'England – The Album 2010’ is one of the first off the blocks and does seem to contain all the tracks you could hope for, plus a few extra. The main attraction her is the inclusion of the re-working of 3 Lions – a good effort by those involved, with a new orchestral edge to the track. Elsewhere you get longstanding classics like Vindaloo, World in Motion, Jerusalem and Nessum Dorma (Jose Carreras, not Placido Domingo though).

In-between these rousing classics there is also room for Dario G’s wonderfully uplifting Carnaval de Paris, DJ Otzi’s Hey Baby (world Cup version) and some brass in the form of Dambusters and Land of Hope and Glory – all rousing patriotic stuff!

Guaranteed to liven up any World Cup party!
