23 April 2010 (gig)

First time I saw BRMC was at the glorious Astoria in Charing Cross few years back and didn’t hear of them for a long while. When I heard that they were playing again in London I was curious to find out what happened to them after their first classic album.
9 o clock the band was on stage cracking into a couple of new tunes before 'Red Eyes’ and 'Tears’ from the first album. With not a word between songs and no thank you after them it was clear that the boys wanted to get straight to business!!!
The older crowd saw 'What Ever happened To My Rock n Roll’ close the first part of the gig ending with the bass being destroyed and being handed to the fans at the front.
The encore was as good as anything in the first part the only difference was that the guitarist said three and I do mean three words in thanking the audience.
'Spread Your Love’ was the first song to get the crowd buzzing, the classic notes from the new bass pumped adrenalin in each one of us. A great gig from a great band.
