If you haven’t already heard it, here’s one of the singles that will caress your ears this summer.
The third release from their critically acclaimed debut album, Tourist History, follows the fair success of the first two: I Can Talk and Undercover Martyn. The band embarks on their headline tour of the UK in September, having already supported Delphic, Foals, Metronomy and opened for Phoenix as part of their US tour. What excellent support pedigree.
The Northern Irelanders have already been voted for by the slightly misnomered 'tastemakers’ to the BBC’s Sound of 2010 and on the evidence of this upbeat track, they deserve it, although with the promise comes an inevitable downside so we can only live in hope that they don’t suffer the same sort of Razorlight like hysteria that will mean a very good single is thrown into repetitive ignominy. If you want to keep it fresh, there’s also a good remix by The Twelves flying around the interweb.
