Sneaky Pete’s is definitely Edinburgh’s hottest and sweatiest venue, hosting the best live music on its dingy little stage. Bringing a bit of glamour in tonight however are the gorgeous Kerrie Lynch, Carrie Mac and Kitty the Lion. All three acts share a bit of grace, a touch of elegance and a massive portion of beautiful talent, as New Found Sound present Kitty the Lion with two very special guests.

Opening the show tonight is beautiful lady and powerful-voiced local Kerrie Lynch. Kerrie’s voice is extremely loud and elegant, a fantastic round-up of all that is good about acoustic performances. Her guitar is simple, yet boldly effective when teamed with graceful lyrics. There are no musical difficulties to Kerrie’s set, just sweet music, cute lyrics and a tremendous vocal performance.

Taking to the stage next is Carrie Mac, accompanied with her acoustic guitar player Harry. The guitar again is simple, but the complications of the act come in Carrie’s vocals. There is no doubt Carrie Mac has phenomenal vocal talent, the quality of her voice could easily rival the likes f Beyonce or Mariah, but the pop-quality of her style seems somewhat unsuited the acoustic set tonight.

Headlining this evening and picking up the pace with a full live band are Glasgow based act Kitty the Lion. Leadsinger Anna Meldrum lends her almost forceful Scottish vocals to the line up, alongside an upright bass and mandolin to name an interesting few. The set tonight is full of merriment and musical happiness, as Kitty the Lion delivers ‘Bird Flu’ and ‘Lion in the Bed’ as their highlight tracks.
