Although this originates in Oregon my first thought was ‘Canadian, or maybe from Paris’. The music is intense and complex, multilayered and with a chiming tone that sets the mind at a point of unease but the vocals are so easy that the song manages to create an sense of comfort as well – I think I am confounded but I adore what I am hearing nonetheless.

The brass that sits just below the keening vocals is the driving force of the changes in the music while the keyboards and the xylophone are the underpinning of the whole piece.

Simply put, this is music that demands your attention to get the most from it – if you just use it as background you will never find the riches it can deliver.
