Auto tune is an evil invention. The best part is, engineers have seemingly gotten bored with masking the sound of massively altered vocal parts and instead opted to leave singers sounding like a Dalek at a karaoke.

The backing track of ‘Whatever, Whatever’ sounds exactly like everything from the past three year assault on the charts, and the uncharismatic singing of Rodrigo Moratto just emphasises why this type of pop-come-RnB guff needs to die out ASAP. Lyrically the songs your bog standard pop stuff, bar an absolutely hilarious ‘rap’ section halfway through the song, which, for the life of me I couldn’t work out what was being said (half due to auto tuning). In fact, there are absolutely no redeeming features of this track, the beat is lifeless, the vocals and lyrics are as boring as they come, and as a package it really is just plain. Rodrigo Moratto? Whatever.
