Ivy has already had an album out in Australia as well as a handful of hits and seems to be aiming for British shores determined to win us over with her country twinged soulful pop.
With her Bollywood inspired partner in crime Rav, a cheerful mix of both country and Bollywood make for an interesting sound. At their best with tracks like the sweetly melancholic 'Cowboy' with its mellow guitar and haunting steel pedal from BJ Cole of R.E.M. and The Verve fame, to the joyfully plodding 'Island Song', a harmlessly vacuous tale of innocent love, though its none the worse for it. The whole EP has the feel of a western film set in a field of wild flowers with Julie Andrews no doubt prancing around somewhere on the nearest hillside.

There is though, a real danger you might hear this echoing through your nearest Starbucks (if you're inclined to spending extortionate amounts of cash on a pretty little recycled cup full of pretention) on the same CD labelled 'Katie Melua-Style Harmless Background Music', but with such distinguishably individual tunes to showcase, they shouldn't have a problem presenting us with an equally creditable album. I'd happily put my money where my mouth is on this one!
