London based Wolf Gang are an interesting band who wear all their influences, which is everything from John Lee Hooker to Kraftwerk, on their exterior. Their new single 'Pieces of You' is an anthemic-blues-pop tune which mixes about as many genres and instruments as most bands have in one album. Whilst it may seem all over the place at first, after a few listens the subtleties of the track make this tune a solid well written and original track – it’s very interesting to say the least.
Even the B-side 'The Kill' is stylistically rich and whilst sounding like the theme for a seventies sci-fi show, still manages to grow on you as a powerful song worth twice as much as most songs in the charts today.
