I was surprised to find that this was the fourth release by Burning Point as I haven’t come across them before.

It sounds fresh and powerful with a hard edge to it that you always expect from Finnish heavy metal merchants but they also have a classic edge to their sound that a lot of the Eastern European bands lack.
They also cover a variety of styles – none of the dirge like storm and shriek of a lot of their competition.
Mind, they can rip it up as well; 'Face The Truth’ features a furious drum powering thrash guitars and Pete Ahonen’s growled vocals but even this is tempered by a melodic guitar break before the final onslaught. 'Was It Me?’ is bombastic and heartfelt – a real metal ballad with some great guitar work from Pekka Kolivuori and then 'Walls Of Stone’ erupts with all the drive of twin guitars and keyboards shrieking in the background.

The excitement and passion of great rock is here in plentiful doses as well as some talented playing and by keeping to the '80’s metal stylings they are able to make the most of those talents.

If you are into metal and especially are a lover of bands like Priest or The Scorpions this is well worth a listen.
