Guitar and synths combine with the metronomic drums and furious basslines to whip you into a dervish like version of the idiot dance and the keyboards underneath – like a throwback to the best tunes of the sixties – carry the melody through and give you a bedrock to reach up from.
They’ve developed a whole heck of a lot from their Drum ‘n’ Bass origins and it is all for the right reasons.

Pendulum are everyone’s darlings at the moment and ‘Showdown’ suggests that 2009 could be one hell of a year for them.
