Eric Prydz has done it again! A DJ who is capable of producing commercial hits such as 'Call on Me’ and the Pink Floyd sampling 'Proper Education’, as well keeping the respect of his peers with a constant string of underground storming house tracks, gives us the anthem of the summer. The hype surrounding 'Pjanoo’ has steadily snowballed throughout the first part of the season, gaining 'essential new tune’ status on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio show as well as heavy playlist support on the station.
Signed up by Ministry of Sound’s Data imprint this will mark the 200th release on the label. Remixes come from Fred Falke, Guy J and Afterlife. Frenchman Falke delivers a mix full of his usual Gallic flair and takes the track off into outer space. Israel’s Guy J omits the obvious piano loop and takes a turn down a dark alley with a mix that’s sure to please fans of Sasha and Digweed. The surprise mix comes from Afterlife. Normally producing a chilled out sound to their remixes that ensures heavy rotation down at Ibiza’s Café Del Mar and Mambo, this mix is quite a lively breakbeat version that gets damn sight more than just your head nodding and feet tapping.
If you can avoid this track all summer your surname is probably Lucan
