This four (or is it five?) piece from Brighton are revisiting the scene of slacker anthems from Alt Rock that wants to sound like the contemporaries of Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr and especially Pavement. Already catching the attention of Huw Stephens but also Steve Lamacq, who called them 'a clattering pop noise’!

'Change The Record’ is a disparaging pop at local and national radio stations with their repetitive playlists as Dan Ormsby sings 'I’ve resorted to listening to Radio 4, change the record I can’t take anymore’. The single is backed up by another track 'Ideal Man’ that has less accessible but attention grabbing lyrics 'You wouldn’t say boo to a goose but you would say c**t to a nun’.

These tracks didn’t sound original enough for me but appealed enough to make me dig out my Sebadoh and Pavement records. Cheers boys!

Out now on This is Fake DIY records.
