Fair To Midland

This Dallas four piece grabbed Serj Tankian's attention back in 2006, so if the System Of A Down's frontman’s eyebrow was peaked in interest you can be sure Fair To Midland are carrying creative magic in their musical fingertips. This single taken from the album Fables From A Mayfly is a great rocker of a tune, the lyrics thankfully eschewing genre convention by being not simple, and garnished with soft and hard vocals from Andrew Sudderth.

Memorable riffs are provided by Cliff Campbell, bass by Jon Dicken that provides the spine of this beast, drums by Brett Stowers that get your body moving, and a sprinkling of keyboards giving extra life to the tune by Matt Langley. This band deserves a roll call as I suspect they'll get just as big as Tankian's band one day.
