The purveyor of righteously British pop poems, Morrissey, (now resident in Hollywood) is back. Since bursting onto the music scene back in 1983 as frontman to musical legends The Smiths, old Mozzer's life has undergone seismic shifts.

He lives in the Hollywood Hills in a swanky mansion that once belonged to screen idol Clark Gable, has tea with neighbour Johnny Depp and has nurtured a new generation of fans who when questioned about the Queen Is Dead' replied ‘I was only 10 when Freddie died'.

‘Irish Blood English Heart' could hail a new era in Morrissey's flamboyant career. The lyrics are backed with a robust yet radio friendly jangle written by guitarist Alain Whyte. Mozzer fans will welcome a new selection of classic lyrics to recite including “To be standing by the flag not feeling shameful, racist or partial” and “I've been dreaming of a time when the English are sick to death of Labour and Tories and spits upon the name Oliver Cromwell and denounce this royal line”.

He's lost none of his passion but has Morrissey become a self made caricature? Is he now part of the same establishment he fought so hard against? Quite Frankly Mr Shankly, who cares. It's just nice to have him back.
