'Boy Boy Boy' has the consistency and flow of a stream, gently pulsating, taking the route of least resistance to its final destination. The journey is a pleasant one, a constantly strumming acoustic guitar and driving bass accompany Iain's restrained but inviting vocal melody and then combine, never threatening to become a torrent, but content to remain a choppy tributary with swirling inviting vocal undercurrents.

The fact that Iain contributed guitar pieces to Snow Patrols single 'Run' and is credited on a couple of tracks on the album comes as no surprise. His own material though captures a less formulaic and therefore consequently less commercially viable alternative, although this gives the track a welcome freshness.

I await the album release with a renewed keenness.
