I actually wanted to like this, as the guys behind the track hail from 90’s spacerockers Spiritualized. But where other artists from that hedonistic era have developed and updated their sound over the years, it seems Refoy & Mattock have not.

There is a really catchy guitar hook on this track, but dated production elsewhere with a vocoder 'aeiou’ sample and annoying heavy rock riff leave me wanting to see what else is on the CD. Unfortunately, it’s backed with a very 'springy’ remix from DJ Pedro Gonzales which is ruined by the vocal breakdown plus a frankly awful ballad 'when the summer’s gone’.

The sleeve features an 'hypnotic optical illusion' which gives me visions of hippies dancing in a field outside the M25 not realising that the police shut down the rave 15 years ago

Shame as this had the potential to be something so much better
