With a bouncy, stomping piano led attack, Ant Genn and Martin Slattery, aka The Hours, release the mature catchiness of Ali In The Jungle. Genn's vocals embrace an honest innocence with Slattery's stabbing keys combining to simple yet dynamic effect. And their pedigree suggests they know a thing or two about their craft. Ant Genn has produced none other than Joe Strummer and Grace Jones and played with Elastica and Pulp, while Slattery was the keyboardist in Black Grape, the Mescaleros and worked with Brian Eno and Sly and Robbie.

The fusion of their talents clash to good effect with this potent pounding single of hope and endeavour. It's given an added punch (sorry!) with Harry Carpenter's rousing boxing commentary of Mohammad Ali beating George Foreman (in Zaire in 1974) over the playout. Dramatic, effective and worth investigating further work from The Hours. To do so visit them at www.thehours.co.uk or www.myspace.com/thehours
