Nigel Clark emerged onto the British music scene as the lead singer and bassist of 'Dodgy’, releasing three albums before breaking up in 1998. After the split, Nigel spent time away in India where, the rumour mill goes, he sought enlightenment.

After his return to old blighty and several years producing other artists, he has reappeared in a solo embodiment, releasing his debut album '21st Century Man’.

And early on, it’s clear to see why this album has had a mixed bag of reviews from the press. His solo musings aren’t everyone’s cup of voodoo, though after a listen or two it becomes apparent that he’s hit upon a much broader scope than dried up fans of Dodgy.

His acoustic, often country sounding, guitar rhythms suit his vocals and range from the optimistic 'We Will See’ and 'Sometimes’ to the more morose Doors sounding 'Northern Lights’. The whole album feels like a glance back into the acoustic side of '70’s psychedelia, and in light of some other male guitar-led solo artists, this album ought to be considered welcome. It’s not a breath of fresh air, rather a waft.
