New Edition has been on a hot streak ever since their television mini-series premiered in 2017, which chronicled the groups career from their early days in Roxbury, Massachusetts. While the series covered the highs and lows, New Edition have survived for decades and are now even bigger than ever.
New Edition (Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins,Ronnie DeVoe and
Johnny Gill) performed to a sold-out crowd at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on February 15, 2026.
The band's current tour is akin to the MixTape shows that fellow Boston boys, New Kids on the Block, pioneered in 2019, as New Edition are sharing the bill with Boyz II Men and Toni Braxton and took turns manning the spotlight all night.
New Edition began the show with a new song, "We're Going Out Tonight" and were eventually joined by Braxton and Boyz II Men, who both chimed in during the number.
Post-song, the performers disappeared, save for Boyz II Men who did a raucous "Motownphilly", before Braxton came back and resurrected her 2000 hit, "He Wasn't Man Enough for Me".
New Edition re-emerged with their latter 80's lineup (sans Brown) and did smooth versions of "If It Isn't Love" and "You're Not My Kind of Girl". Brown rejoined in time for "Hit Me Off", but disappeared during the touching "N.E. Heart Break".
A real mixing pot emerged after Boyz II Men did "Ugg Ahh" and "4 Seasons of Lonliness" and Braxton's "You're Makin' Me High", as the solo careers of New Edition members took center stage.
Gill started with "Fairweather Friend", followed by Brown and a blistering take of "Don't Be Cruel". Bell Biv Devoe then emerged with "Do Me!" and "When Will I See You Smile Again?" while Tresvant shined solo on "Do What I Gotta Do".
After another set from Braxton and Boyz II Men, Brown's hit machine returned with the slow-jams, "Roni" and "Rock Wit'cha", while
Tresvant crooned his biggest solo cut, "Sensitivity".
Gill really got to shine as he delivered a three- song set with, "There U Go", "My Body" (a cover from Gill's days with the soul supergroup, LSG) and a dynamic take of his hit, "My, My, My".
A collection of ballads emerged with Braxton's "Un-Break My Heart", New Edition's "Can You Stand The Rain?" and a pair from Boyz II Men; "Waters Run Dry" and the heartbreaking, "On Bended Knee."
One of the show's highlights was when New Edition went "old school" and went back to their 80's heyday with a slick "Mr. Telephone Man", the innocent irresistible vibes of "Candy Girl" and "Cool It Now" (during which Tresvant got the audience to shout his iconic "Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike" line). While the guys are now in their 50s, they can still seamlessly pull out their smooth as silk dance moves as if no time has passed.
New Edition and Boyz II Men were quite engaged with the crowd and truly made a strong connection. Boyz II Men made many women in the crowd very happy, passing out roses to audience members (even more poignant, being the day after Valentine's Day).
Boyz II Men returned with "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday", the emotional "One Sweet Day" (where Mariah Carey's vocals were piped in), and the group's monster hit, "End of the Road".
The show concluded with all New Edition members onstage and churned out two of Brown's biggest moments with "Every Little Step" and "My Prerogative" before concluding with the explosive blast of Bell Biv Devoe's "Poison" (during which Boyz II Men joined them onstage).
A phenomenal ending to a spectacular show, several decades after their inception, Boston's hometown boys once again made their city proud.
