13 February 2026 (gig)

When you descend the narrow stairs of the 100 Club in Oxford Street, you are essentially stepping into a subterranean cathedral of British music history.
One of the oldest independent gig venues in the world, it is a glorious, low-ceilinged "time warp" where the walls are steeped in the sweat of legends from jazz to punk and where the huge pillars directly in front of the stage, along with the 1970’s seating are now as iconic as the stars who have played there.
Tonight it plays host to the annual St Valentines Day Massacre from legendary rock ‘n’ rollers, The Godfathers, who have cultivated a cult history of their own since their formation back in the mid-80’s, but first the evening kicks off with a high-energy set by The WitchDoktors whose punk, garage sound provides a perfect starter for tonight’s main event.
The Godfathers take the stage looking sharp, dark and menacing and waste no time in unleashing their trademark mafia rock ‘n’ roll.
Their 90 minute set is a carefully selected mix of anthems from right across their 10 studio albums to date, all executed with primal guitars, gritty riffs and of course, delivered with the snarling vocals of frontman Pete Coyne whose piercing stare is still as menacing as ever.
The distressed melody of ‘I Want You’ and the aggressive mob classic ‘I Want Everything’ in particular stand out but without doubt, the highlight (and surprise!) of the evening is ‘Hup 2 3 4’ which brings the night to a heart pumping climax.
Live rock ‘n’ roll at it’s finest!
