Down at Oporto tonight, the stage area is nothing short of rammed as punters await The Pill who are supported tonight by Tough Cookie.
Tough Cookie do a tremendous job of gearing up this sea of music lovers, prepping them for The Pill’s arrival to the stage.
As The Pill enter, the crowd roar, cheer and applause giving these iconic girls a proper Yorkshire welcome.
Visually on stage, they really are something to see with this cool aesthetic and stage presence together, as they sway while playing their instruments to the first track of the night ‘Scaffolding Man’. It’s a very interesting show due to the fact the girls have an air sweetness in their appearance but musically are playing this heavy rock sound and belting out every line.
As we move our way through this brief but brilliant set list, the girls treat us with even more rock sounds, including clear fan favourites like ‘Problem’ and ‘Woman Driver’, it’s clear they are growing ever confident, through each song.
The Pill finish their Yorkshire date off with ‘Posh’. This high energy punk-like anthem has got the crowd packed in, bouncing and bounding around, and it’s clear everyone on this stage tonight has seen THE new and exciting talent.
The Pill have proved they are ones to watch.
