Friday at Tramlines kicked off with an array of acts setting the festival goers up for an action packed with weekend. First up to kick off Tramlines 2025 for me was local talents Jetski who drew a large crowd around The Open Arms Stage with a set of original indie tracks that were welcomed with applause and cheers.
Another notable set on this day was Baxter Dury who commanded the Sarah Nulty Main Stage with an air of swagger and professionalism, contrasting with his not giving a f*ck attitude.
To finish off Day One, our headliners were local legends, who one of the biggest nationally acclaimed brit-pop bands, Pulp. As the band played a set full of the well-known bangers such as ‘Common People’ and ‘Disco 2000’, as well as one of their latest release ‘Spike Island’, strangers, friends and lovers alike clung to each other belting out each line.
Saturday offered up a day of versatility with new talent and internationally acclaimed artists. Natasha Bedingfield’s set was arguably one of the best of the weekend, the vibes were immaculate and she her stage presence was undeniably one of a seasoned pro. After last year’s revival of her 00’s hits through the app TikTok, the crowd mirrored her energy and gave her everything back.
Jake Bugg also played on the second day of the festival with many of his early indie hits from ‘Trouble Town’ and ‘Two Fingers’ despite his set being slightly earlier than some would expect, the crowd made sure to get down early to flock around the main stage and show their support.
The headliner for my evening was Rizzle Kicks who have returned rightfully back to the charts and demonstrated their signature charisma throughout the set.
Sunday showed no signs of stopping and neither did festival goers despite being on Day Three. A notable was set was CMAT, who has recently rose to fame after one of her songs went viral on TikTok, and Tramlines was no different as the crowd flocking around her tent recreated the viral dance.
The Last Dinner Party delivered a set with strength and energy, the atmosphere felt electric and despite taking a step back on music last year, the band have come back full force and ready to thrive again. Our final headliner of the weekend was Kasabian, who were nothing short of spectacular.
As the band played their arguably most famous hit ‘Fire’ the Main Stage crowd were like a stampede bouncing and bounding around – what a way to wrap up Tramlines 2025.
