On Saturday, 15th June 2024, Nocturne Live at Blenheim Palace continued its streak of outstanding musical evenings with a powerhouse lineup of female artists, featuring Sugababes, Melanie C, and Shaznay Lewis. The evening was a celebration of pop music and girl power, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Blenheim Palace.

The historic and picturesque Blenheim Palace once again provided a magnificent setting for Nocturne Live. The palace's grand architecture and expansive, beautifully maintained gardens offered an unparalleled atmosphere for enjoying live music. The combination of the venue's historic charm and the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape made for a truly magical concert experience.

The weather was almost ideal for an outdoor event, with clear skies and a gentle breeze making for a comfortable evening, with only a spot of rain falling during Sugababes.

The evening featured an enticing selection of Greek cuisine and classic hot dogs, adding to the festive atmosphere. Concertgoers indulged in delicious gyros from the Greek stalls, while the hot dog stands offered a variety of gourmet options, satisfying everyone's cravings.

The evening began with Shaznay Lewis, former member of the iconic girl group All Saints. Her performance was a delightful mix of solo material and All Saints classics, including "Never Ever" and "Pure Shores." A standout moment was when Shaznay brought out Shola Ama to perform their new song together. Shaznay also delivered a powerful cover of George Michael's "Freedom," which was a hit with the audience. Shaznay's soulful vocals and engaging presence set the stage beautifully for the night ahead.

Melanie C, famously known as Sporty Spice from the Spice Girls, took the stage next. Her set was an energetic blend of her solo hits and Spice Girls favourites. She performed well-loved tracks such as "I Turn to You" and "Never Be the Same Again," alongside Spice Girls anthems like "2 Become 1" and "Spice Up Your Life." Melanie's dynamic performance, powerful vocals, and infectious energy had the entire crowd dancing and singing along, making her set a true highlight of the evening. Having seen Melanie last year and realty enjoying it, this show had even more energy. Notable highlights with Melanie commenting on herself jumping around like a ‘knob-head’, but also saying she won’t stop.

The headlining act, Sugababes, closed the night with a show-stopping performance. The original trio wowed the audience with their harmonious vocals and vibrant stage presence. Their setlist was packed with hits, including "Push the Button," "About You Now," and "Freak Like Me.". An energetic Garage Medley half way through the set pumped the crowd up even more. Each song was met with enthusiastic cheers and sing-alongs, demonstrating the enduring popularity of their music. The Sugababes delivered a high-energy performance that was both nostalgic and fresh, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

The evening was a triumph, celebrating the best of pop music with three incredible female artists. The combination of the stunning venue, better weather, delicious food, and phenomenal performances made for an unforgettable evening. Shaznay Lewis, Melanie C, and Sugababes each brought their unique talents to the stage, creating a night filled with joy, nostalgia, and empowerment.
